Master Trainer David Latimer, has more than 20 years experience supervising, training and handling working K9 teams in both the public and private sectors. He worked with hundreds of dogs and handlers during his career and trained and supervised teams in the detection of explosives, narcotics, arson, human remains detection and insect pests. These teams included military, police and fire investigators, private individuals who assisted these professions, as well as pest control operators and others. David was one of the original founders of the World Detector Dog Organization and currently serves on the board of directors. Latimer and his dogs participated in and assisted state, federal and local agencies in criminal investigations, criminal apprehension, tracking, HRD and other public service functions. David retired in 2015, after serving his community as fire marshal, K9 officer, police chief and director of public safety.
